Job summary

Ada County Clerk's Office is seeking a Business Analyst to lead the responsible exploration, evaluation and governance of AI and emerging tech across the Clerk's Office. The analyst monitors needs, ensures data privacy and public trust, and guides staff adoption of new solutions.

Positioned in the Administration Division, the role collaborates with Elections, Courts, Community Programs, Auditor and Recorder, translating complex topics into practical guidance for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Communications, or related field.
• Knowledge of AI tools and concepts (no coding required).
• Knowledge of AI Ethics and Governance.
• Proven aptitude in curiosity, rapid learning, and critical thinking.
• Knowledge of communication techniques.
• Knowledge of administrative computer technology and electronic communication technology.
• Ability to work across multiple divisions and build alignment.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategy and use case identification for AI opportunities.
• Coordinates governance, risk and policy development for AI use.
• Establishes guardrails for staff use of AI tools.
• Partners with legal, HR, and IT for compliance.
• Coordinates staff training and adoption of AI tools.
• Monitors performance and drives continuous improvement.
