Job summary

Albemarle Netherlands BV in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Digital & AI Governance Manager to lead the AI governance program and ensure compliance with evolving regulations. The ideal candidate will possess 8–10+ years of IT compliance experience, demonstrating knowledge of GRC frameworks such as COBIT and NIST, along with AI governance capabilities.

The role offers a hybrid working model and seeks individuals with strong collaborative leadership skills to drive governance adoption across teams.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience in IT compliance, GRC, or audit roles.
• Demonstrated SOX 404 compliance experience, including ITGC testing.
• Deep knowledge of GRC frameworks: COBIT, COSO, NIST CSF, ISO 27001.
• Working knowledge of AI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act).
• Professional certifications: CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of the AI governance program.
• Support the AI Risk and Ethics Review Board to evaluate AI use cases.
• Monitor evolving AI regulatory requirements and translate them into internal policies.
• Develop and maintain the digital governance policy library covering AI, data, cloud, and automation.
