Job summary

Primesource Consulting seeks a Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer / AI Tech Lead to design and deliver production-grade AI applications. You will own technical initiatives, mentor a small engineering team, and drive architecture across frontend and backend using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI.

You will build Generative AI solutions, RAG pipelines, and AI agents, integrating LLMs, ensuring observability, and driving deployment from POC to production while optimizing performance,

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack AI applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI.
• Build Generative AI solutions, RAG pipelines, and AI agents for document-based use cases.
• Develop agent capabilities including tool calling, planning, memory, orchestration, guardrails, and evaluation.
• Design retrieval systems using chunking, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, re-ranking, and citation-generated outputs.
• Integrate and work with LLMs, monitor model performance and failure modes, and ensure robust production readiness.
• Take AI solutions from POC to production, with testing, monitoring, observability, and regression testing.
• Optimize AI systems for performance, scalability, accuracy, latency, and cost.
• Drive system architecture and design decisions across frontend, backend, databases, AI services, cloud infra, and integrations.
• Collaborate with AWS/Azure/GCP, PostgreSQL, and cloud services; leverage AI tooling to boost productivity.
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team; conduct code reviews and promote best practices.
• Work with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex and related frameworks; knowledge of LangSmith/Langfuse is a plus.

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer / AI Tech Lead with strong experience in Generative AI, RAG, AI Agents, Python, Next.js, and TypeScript. The candidate will be responsible for building production-grade AI applications, leading technical initiatives, and mentoring a small engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy full-stack AI applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, Python, and FastAPI.
• Build and maintain Generative AI solutions, RAG pipelines, and AI agents for complex document-based use cases.
• Develop agent capabilities including tool calling, planning, memory, orchestration, guardrails, and evaluation.
• Design document retrieval systems using chunking, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, re-ranking, and citation-based generation.
• Integrate and work with LLMs, understanding model capabilities, limitations, hallucinations, context limitations, and other failure modes.
• Take AI solutions from POC/prototype to production, including testing, monitoring, observability, evaluation, and regression testing.
• Optimize AI systems for performance, scalability, accuracy, latency, and cost.
• Drive system architecture and design decisions across frontend, backend, databases, AI services, cloud infrastructure, and third-party integrations.
• Work with AWS / Azure / GCP, PostgreSQL, relational databases, object storage, APIs, and cloud services.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to improve development productivity.
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team, provide technical direction, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
• Work with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar. Experience with LangSmith, Langfuse, Braintrust, Arize, or Phoenix is an added advantage.
