Job summary

HawkSEM is seeking an AI-forward SEO Account Manager to lead clients into the next era of search powered by AI tools like Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Gemini. You will shape dual SEO/GEO strategies, stay ahead of algorithm updates, and collaborate with Paid Search, Social, and CRO teams to drive measurable ROI across diverse industries.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience executing successful SEO strategies with a focus on content strategy and on-page optimizations.
A true practitioner and pioneer—curious, adaptable, and able to test, learn, and lead in GEO space.
Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and optimization for AI-powered search engines across industries.
Experience with CMS like WordPress and WebFlow; bonus for product feed optimization and ecommerce CMS like Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce.
Self-motivation, autonomy, and accountability in a remote environment.
Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects and deadlines in a fast-paced team.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead SEO/GEO strategy and day-to-day management of assigned accounts to grow gross profit.
Monitor algorithm updates, AI trends, and emerging search technologies.
Conduct keyword and prompt research to align content with real search intent in SERPs and generative engines.
Develop content calendars using topic modeling, entity mapping, and trend forecasting.
Optimize content and metadata for visibility in organic search and AI experiences.
Audit technical SEO, GEO fundamentals, and schema to improve crawlability and speed.
Leverage GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and GEO tools for insights.
Report on SEO and GEO visibility and tie initiatives to ROI.
Collaborate with Paid Search, Social, and CRO teams for unified results.
Perform dual role as SEO/GEO strategist and client point of contact.
Own the overall SEO/GEO strategy and day-to-day account management, focusing on gross profit growth.
Monitor brand presence in generative results using GEO tracking tools and outreach.
Develop prompt-based optimization strategies aligning content to AI engine queries.
Jointly work with Analytics and Web Development teams for site health, tracking, and landing page optimization.
Report on KPIs and present findings to clients and senior management.
Coordinate with Lead Strategists to refine account roadmaps.
