Job summary

EY is seeking a Lead Forward Deployed Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of AI-native systems for a single client in highly regulated industries. The role is embedded with the client, hands-on, setting technical direction and ensuring production-ready outcomes.

You will lead a small cell and interface with client stakeholders, balancing tradeoffs with regulatory constraints while driving safe-to-ship decisions. EY offers hybrid work and a broad Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• 8+ years delivering complex enterprise systems in regulated or client-facing contexts.
• Hands-on engineering depth across integration-heavy architectures and distributed systems.
• Experience with modern AI-enabled application stacks and AI governance, security or cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end outcome delivery for the cell, including scoping, tradeoffs, and production readiness.
• Embed directly with the client to define problems and translate needs into executable solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical interface and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
• Remain hands-on, designing and building critical parts of the solution when needed.
• Direct the work of the cell's engineers, ensuring integrations and data readiness.
• Ensure deployments meet safety, integrity, and cost constraints with governance teams.
