Job summary

InXpress in Utah is seeking a mid-level Java developer who codes AI-first. You’ll build features for a global logistics and e-commerce platform, modernize an ERP backbone, and contribute to a PaaS integration layer used by carriers and merchants worldwide.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup (in-office M-W, remote Thu-Fri), collaborate with senior engineers, translate business needs into clean Java, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring Framework (Boot, MVC, Data).
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs in production.
• Demonstrated AI-first development habits with concrete examples.
• Experience in distributed microservices architecture.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, design patterns, debugging.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain features across our platform, including greenfield and modernization.
• Develop and integrate REST and event-driven APIs connecting carriers, merchants, and internal systems.
• Contribute to the PaaS integration platform to enable carriers to connect via a unified API.
• Use AI tools as a first-class part of development workflow from code generation to tests and reviews.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on design decisions and PR feedback.
• Translate requirements with Business Analysts into clean, well-tested Java code.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
