ABOUT YOU

We are looking for an AI Engineer Intern who is curious, self-directed, and genuinely excited about building things with AI to join our global internship cohort. The best candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and exceptionally dynamic setting and is excited to drive internal AI initiatives and build proof-of-concept applications that show our teams what's possible when AI is a core part of the workflow.

Real AI fluency and a bias toward action are essential, along with experience in building projects using agentic coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot – not just asking ChatGPT to explain concepts. The ability to work with minimal process, figure things out independently, and ship work that reaches real users will be key to your success in this role.

If you’re passionate about building with AI as your default way of working and loveshipping code that matters – not throwaway exercises, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Partner and collaborate with senior engineers to identify where AI tooling and integrations can remove friction, and build the fix.
  • Build applications and integrations on top of Xsolla's APIs and SDKs that show internal teams how to move faster using AI-assisted development.
  • Empower the technology department with AI tools to improve project efficiency.
  • Ship work that matters – what you build is expected to reach real users, whether that's an internal tool an engineering team adopts or a customer-facing integration.
  • Use agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as your default way of working – not a novelty you reach for occasionally.
  • Share what you build – participate in weekly 30-second lightning-talk demos showing how you used AI to solve something that week.
  • Work with minimal process – get context, a problem, and a mentor; the rest is on you to figure out and build.
  • Learn from and collaborate with both senior engineers (who'll mentor you on production-grade practices) and fellow interns across markets (who'll trade ideas and code with you at weekly demos).
Qualifications and Skills
  • Genuine passion for building – you have side projects, hackathon entries, open-source contributions, or something you shipped just because you were curious.
  • Real AI fluency – you've actually used tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar agentic coding tools to build something, and you can explain how you used AI to get there and how you confirmed it actually worked.
  • Bias toward action – given an ambiguous problem, you start building before you ask for a spec.
  • Comfort with developing modern full-stack solutions – we care more about how fast you learn than what you already know cold.
  • Open to current undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent graduates of a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program. Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees are all acceptable.
  • Available to work 3 to 6 months, at least 4 days a week.
Nice to Have
  • Previous internship experience in software engineering or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Xsolla's products, APIs, or the gaming commerce ecosystem.
  • Experience with full-stack development frameworks (React, Next.js, Node.js, etc.).
  • Contributions to open-source projects or active GitHub portfolio with recent, self-directed work.
  • Experience building proof-of-concept or prototype applications in a fast-paced environment.
