Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Business & Data Analyst to join the IOA practice, blending AI, analytics, and operations. You will analyze processes, leverage Copilot/Claude/Gemini/ChatGPT, and generate actionable insights using Excel, Power BI, and SQL.

Expect mentorship, enterprise exposure, and a path to client-facing impact. New hires may work from Cognizant offices in Chicago, IL or Teaneck, NJ, starting Oct 2026 to Feb 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (recent grads welcome).
• Proficiency in Excel required; Power BI or SQL is a plus.
• Experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini) for projects.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, requirements, and data to identify improvements.
• Use AI tools daily to speed up research and documentation.
• Perform data analysis using Excel, Power BI, SQL to uncover insights.
• Build and refine prompts to improve AI-assisted work.
• Support design and adoption of Agentic AI solutions with use cases and requirements.
• Prepare executive-ready presentations, reports, and process maps.
• Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn new AI tools and trends.
