Job summary

Cvent, Inc. is seeking a senior Application Security Engineer to own AI-first security automation and architect end-to-end security for complex systems.

You will lead threat modeling, design reviews, and implement CI/CD security tooling, while mentoring engineers and coordinating risk decisions with leadership. Hybrid role with in-office days.

The role offers a base salary range of $120,000–$160,000 annually plus bonus, with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in application security or secure software development.
• Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Bash.
• Proven experience integrating security tooling into CI/CD and SDLC.
• Cloud platforms familiarity (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure acceptable).
• Proficiency with security testing tools (Burp Suite, Checkmarx, Mend, Veracode, Fortify, ZAP, Wiz).
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10, CWE, SANS Top 25, secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own AI-first security automation from intake to published findings.
• Lead the development of security agents and AI tooling; define architecture for LLM workflows.
• Drive AI-assisted threat modeling at scale and define coverage for GenAI/AI‑ML features.
• Own integration and scaling of SAST, DAST, and SCA across CI/CD.
• Perform and lead deep secure design reviews, code reviews, and penetration testing.
