Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a Management-level leader to head AI Engineering within Corporate Shared Services IT. You will lead a team of AI Engineers/Contractors to deliver scalable, secure AI solutions across operations, manufacturing, and supply chain.

You will bridge business stakeholders, Data & Analytics, Digital Manufacturing, and IT to define AI standards, delivery frameworks, and governance while driving measurable business value and responsible AI adoption.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
3+ years of experience leading technical teams.
Proven AI/ML deployment experience in production environments.
Strong knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and AI agent architectures.
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
Strong Python programming skills and modern ML frameworks.
ML-OPs practices including deployment, monitoring, versioning, testing, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

Lead the enterprise AI Engineering team delivering scalable AI solutions across functions.
Partner with business leaders to identify AI use cases with measurable value.
Develop and maintain the enterprise AI engineering roadmap.
Lead design, development, testing, deployment, and support of AI-powered applications.
