Ports North is seeking an AI Engineering Team Lead to guide a team of software engineers, shaping architecture, development, and technical decisions for scalable, AI-enabled solutions.

The ideal candidate combines leadership with hands-on expertise in .NET, React, and modern cloud-based delivery, collaborating with Product and business teams to deliver high-impact software. This role emphasizes driving modernization, automated testing, and AI-powered workflows across enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with leadership.
• Experience with .NET/C#, React, SQL Server, REST APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience building and scaling B2B SaaS in production environments.
• Hands-on experience applying AI within commercial software products.
• Designing agentic AI workflows and AI orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers with accountability and collaboration.
• Own team delivery outcomes, ensuring quality, scalability and business impact.
• Drive architectural decisions and establish engineering best practices across apps, platforms, and services.
• Design, develop, and maintain modern software using .NET, React, SQL, and distributed architectures.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to define priorities and deliver initiatives.
• Champion AI-assisted development practices and AI workflows.
• Lead AI-powered capabilities and intelligent automation within enterprise apps.
• Drive modernization, improve code quality, and reduce technical debt.
• Oversee CI/CD processes and GitHub-based workflows.
