Job summary

Fathom is seeking an AI Engineer in the United States to work hands-on with LLMs, prototyping and refining features that guide our engineering team. You will craft practical specs to drive impactful updates and develop novel capabilities.

The role blends engineering, analytics, product management, and research and is open to US candidates only, with three in-office days per week in San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

• Experience with prompt engineering to achieve reliable outcomes.
• Proficient in Python and able to prototype end-to-end solutions.
• Foundational analytics: manipulate data in Python or SQL.
• Masters degree in a related field.
• Experience in fine-tuning LLMs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• By 30 Days: Upgrade features by combining prompt engineering with latest models; improve evaluations for existing features.
• By 90 Days: Prototype new AI features; fine-tune models; develop processes to migrate to new AI models.
