Job summary

re-zoo-me in San Francisco is seeking an AI Engineer to join a small, highly technical team building AI-powered features for enterprise customers. The role focuses on hands-on development, shipping LLM-powered capabilities, and owning end-to-end production systems in a fast-growing startup.

You'll work primarily in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python, with AWS in the stack, and collaborate across a tight, autonomous team to push novel agentic AI solutions into production.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Shipped LLM-powered features to production in real users.
• Production-grade experience with TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python.
• Hands-on experience building agents or agentic systems, including LLM orchestration and tool use.
• Experience with LLM evaluations, structured outputs and function calling.
• Keep up with evolution of agentic AI beyond standard toolkits.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• Excited by early-stage environments, ambiguity and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship LLM-powered features and agentic systems used by real customers.
• Design agents that can reason, use tools and work across large datasets.
• Build reliable production systems around LLMs, including structured outputs, function calling and evaluation pipelines.
• Work primarily in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python, with AWS as part of the stack.
• Experiment with new approaches in agentic AI and turn promising ideas into production.
• Solve reliability, latency, hallucinations, evaluation and cost challenges in shipping AI.
• Work with a small, highly technical team with autonomy and ownership.
