Job summary

ASML seeks an AI Engineer for materials discovery to develop AI, ML, and computational materials science methods that accelerate the discovery and optimization of materials for ASML products. You will operate at the intersection of AI, atomistic simulation, materials science, and experimental validation, collaborating with computational scientists, experimental researchers, and product engineering teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant technical field plus experience applying computational methods to materials or chemical systems.
• Experience developing scientific software or data-analysis workflows using Python.
• Experience with machine learning, data-driven modeling, or AI methods applied to scientific or engineering problems.
• Experience with AI-enabled materials discovery or computational materials science is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply AI, ML, and computational materials science methods to accelerate materials discovery and optimization.
• Create high-throughput computational workflows for materials screening.
• Combine AI methods with DFT, molecular simulation and materials informatics.
• Build Python-based workflows for data generation, processing, modeling, analysis and visualization.
• Collaborate with experimental researchers to design validation strategies and interpret results.
