Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring an AI Engineer II to build and operate intelligent agent systems on our AWS-native GenAI platform. You will own small services end-to-end, implement AI-enabled features, and deepen skills in MCP/LangChain tooling alongside senior engineers.

You’ll work independently on scoped problems, mentor junior teammates, and collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to deliver targeted solutions in a fast-moving, remote-friendly US environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software engineering experience with AI features.
• Proficient in Python, FastAPI, Pydantic v2, and pytest.
• Experience deploying on AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway).
• Experience consuming LLMs via Claude Bedrock or Anthropic API.
• Experience with async SQLAlchemy and a production data layer.
• Familiarity with JWT/OAuth and secrets management.
• Containerized delivery with Docker and CI/CD (GitHub Actions).

Responsibilities

• Implement AI-enabled features and simple RAG workflows.
• Design, build, test, and deploy small services and maintain CI/CD
• Participate in on-call for owned components; diagnose and fix issues.
• Contribute to design reviews and process improvements.
• Mentor AI Engineer I teammates.
• Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to deliver solutions.
