Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking an AI Engineer for a Direct Hire opportunity with a premier financial services client in NYC, Hudson Yards.

Hybrid schedule: On site Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You will partner with Human Capital, business leaders, and technology teams to identify AI-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance employee experiences, and support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Capital, Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Human Capital, data science, technology development with exposure to AI technologies.
• Proficiency in Python with experience handling structured and unstructured data.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI platforms, prompt engineering, and AI development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
• Understanding of RAG, agentic AI architectures, and modern AI application design practices.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, manage multiple workstreams, and drive work forward with speed.
• Strong organizational and communication skills across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions for Human Capital processes (talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee engagement, learning, HR operations).
• Collaborate with leaders to identify opportunities to leverage generative AI and ML technologies.
• Build prototypes and production-ready AI apps using LLMs, RAG, prompts, and agentic AI architectures.
• Develop Python-based tools, automation, and data pipelines to support AI initiatives and analytics.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend solutions aligned with objectives.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
• Partner with tech, data, security, and governance teams to ensure quality, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
• Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuously improve AI models, prompts, workflows, and user experiences.
