Job summary

Leidos is actively seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy agentic AI systems in distributed and cloud environments. You will work with large datasets, implement LLM-based features, and optimize prompts to achieve concrete business outcomes.

The role requires 2+ years of AI/ML experience, hands-on LLM work, and familiarity with LangGraph, CrewAI, and cloud AI services like AWS SageMaker or Azure OpenAI. Strong Python skills and collaboration across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience including demonstrable LLM work.
• Experience building agentic AI systems with tools, planning or multi-step execution.
• Working knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and structured outputs.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making and multi-step task execution.
• Lead end-to-end AI/ML and GenAI projects from data prep to deployment and monitoring.
• Develop LLM-based features like RAG with citations, text summarization, and embedding pipelines.
• Design prompts using prompt engineering to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide business decisions.
