About Resolvd AI
Resolvd AI is building AI-powered solutions to transform healthcare operations, focusing on complex workflows involving unstructured data, invoices, and procure-to-pay processes.
The company recently raised a $7 million seed round, backed by the CEOs of Datadog and Hugging Face.
Resolvd AI is looking for a hands‑on Lead AI Engineer to build and deploy production‑grade AI systems, scalable data pipelines, and intelligent engineering tools.
Position Overview
The Lead AI Engineer will drive the development of an engineering intelligence platform that integrates technical telemetry, observability data, and commercial performance metrics into a unified operational system.
This role combines software engineering, data engineering, distributed systems, and applied AI. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience building production LLM applications, AI agents, data pipelines, and scalable analytics platforms.
Candidates with startup or early‑stage company experience and publicly demonstrable AI projects are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production‑grade ETL/ELT pipelines and dimensional data models.
- Transform raw transactional, eCommerce, and observability data into analytics‑ready datasets.
- Build aggregation layers and summarized datasets to support natural‑language querying and executive reporting.
- Develop unified dashboards integrating system performance metrics, latency, error rates, conversion rates, and renewal metrics.
- Establish engineering performance metrics covering delivery velocity, security posture, and incident trends.
- Build and deploy AI agents for anomaly detection, incident triage, and root‑cause analysis.
- Develop LLM‑powered productivity tools, including code search assistants and runbook copilots using RAG and prompt engineering.
- Optimize data processing workflows using Spark, PySpark, SQL, and Python.
- Build internal tools, chatbots, and operational applications to improve engineering productivity.
- Collaborate with SRE, Security, Architecture, and cross‑functional teams to identify automation opportunities.
- Promote AI adoption and continuously improve engineering workflows through intelligent automation.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in application development and distributed systems architecture.
- 3+ years of production data engineering experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics platforms.
- Expert‑level proficiency in Apache Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience developing production applications.
- Extensive experience with dimensional data modeling and large‑scale data processing.
- Proven experience building and deploying production LLM‑powered applications, RAG systems, or AI agents.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures and medallion data structures.
- Experience working with eCommerce, transactional, or operational datasets.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into production‑ready solutions.
- Experience taking AI solutions from concept through deployment and ongoing optimization.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Equivalent practical experience in software engineering, data engineering, and production AI development may be considered in place of formal education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working at a startup or early‑stage technology company.
- Publicly demonstrable AI projects, GitHub repositories, or production AI applications.
- Experience with governance platforms and workflow automation tools.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants and AI‑driven development workflows.
- Experience collaborating with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Security, and Architecture teams.
- Experience building reusable AI platforms and scalable internal developer tools.
Work Arrangement
- Full‑time, direct employment with the client.
- Hybrid work arrangement based in New York City.
- On‑site presence required as needed, with the flexibility to work remotely from a home office otherwise.
- Candidates must currently reside in New York City or within commuting distance of the office.
- Relocation assistance is not available.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on AI engineer and software builder who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and delivering production‑ready systems.
We are looking for someone with strong engineering fundamentals, practical experience in production AI and agentic systems, and the ability to build reusable technologies that scale beyond individual customer engagements.
Candidates focused exclusively on AI research, strategy, or prompt engineering without substantial production engineering experience may not be a fit.
Please note: This is a full‑time, direct‑hire opportunity with a hybrid work arrangement in New York City. Relocation assistance is not available.
