Job summary

Global Payments is seeking an AI Engineer to join the AI Innovation & Technology team. You will explore emerging AI technologies, prototype new capabilities, and transform innovations into production-ready solutions that deliver measurable business impact.

You will work across Generative AI, Agentic AI, ML, and LLMs, deploying AI workflows, ensuring scalability and governance, and collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver high-impact AI opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or related fields.
• Strong Python skills with ML frameworks and libraries.
• Experience taking AI proof-of-concepts to production, with deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, build, optimize and deploy ML/AI models and foundational models.
• Continuously research and evaluate emerging AI technologies and run POCs.
• Collaborate with business and tech teams to identify high-value use cases.
• Drive a culture of innovation through experimentation and knowledge sharing.
• Define best practices, standards, and reusable patterns for AI development.
