Job summary

Spatial Front, Inc. seeks an AI Developer for hands‑on Python development of AI agents and generative AI solutions supporting enterprise systems.

The role focuses on agent design, prompt engineering, RAG, tool use, and secure, reliable cloud‑based services, supporting Federal Government customers. Based in Crystal City, VA with onsite/hybrid work options, the candidate will collaborate with AI integration engineers, data engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to deliver production‑grade AI

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance is required.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development with Python.
• Experience building production AI agents and LLM‑based apps.
• Strong prompt engineering experience and structured outputs.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and external services integration.
• Experience with AWS SDKs (e.g., boto3) and cloud services.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, and semantic search.
• Git, CI/CD, debugging, and modern software practices.
• Familiarity with SAFe/Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain AI agents and gen AI apps in Python.
• Build agent workflows, tool use, and grounded, multi-step reasoning.
• Develop prompts, instructions, and context management strategies.
• Implement RAG workflows, retrieval, and semantic search.
• Create reusable libraries, utilities, and development patterns.
• Develop and run automated tests for AI agents and prompts.
• Analyze logs, prompts, responses, and tool calls to improve reliability.
• Collaborate with AI Integration Engineers and Product Owners.
