Job summary

Hiresort is seeking an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable ML and AI models across cloud and big data environments in a hybrid role based in San Francisco. The position covers NLP, generative AI, modeling, evaluation, and production monitoring.

You will work with TensorFlow, Hadoop, Spark, and AWS, building robust data pipelines and production-grade AI solutions while collaborating with data engineers. Strong Python/Java/C skills are required.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, Java, C, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell) for AI/ML development.
• Extensive experience with TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, Hadoop, and Spark for large-scale AI.
• Hands-on cloud experience with AWS ML services.
• Strong SQL database knowledge and data modeling skills.
• Experience with NLP, generative AI, and model deployment/monitoring.

Hiresort is hiring an AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning and AI models across cloud and big data environments. This hybrid role in San Francisco supports AI solutions spanning NLP and generative AI, moving from modeling and evaluation to production monitoring.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and implement machine learning and AI models using frameworks including TensorFlow and other ML tools.


• Apply statistical analysis and modeling to support research initiatives and predictive analytics work.


• Build and optimize big data systems using Hadoop, Spark, and ETL processes for efficient ingestion and processing.


• Develop scalable AI solutions using cloud-based machine learning services on AWS.


• Collaborate with data engineers on robust database architecture and SQL databases to store and retrieve large datasets.


• Evaluate model performance through rigorous testing, validation, deployment strategies, and accuracy and scalability checks.


• Use natural language processing methods for text analysis, chatbots, or language understanding applications.


• Use statistical analysis tools such as SAS or R to extract insights from complex datasets for research.


• Integrate AI models into production environments, supporting deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.


• Perform data mining using Talend or similar tools to uncover hidden patterns that inform strategic decisions.

What you bring

• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, Java, C, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell), with a focus on AI/ML development.


• Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Spark MLlib (and related tools).


• Strong knowledge of big data systems, including Hadoop ecosystems and Spark implementation for large-scale processing.


• Hands-on experience with cloud-based machine learning services on AWS or similar platforms.


• Expertise in statistical modeling and statistical analysis tools such as SAS or R.


• Familiarity with database design principles and SQL databases for efficient storage and retrieval.


• Knowledge of NLP techniques for language understanding applications.


• Experience with model training, evaluation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring in production environments.


• Ability to work with unstructured data sources such as linked data or generative AI models.


• Skills in data analytics and data mining using Talend or comparable tools.

Compensation and location
