Job summary

Bridge is seeking an AI Engineer in New York City to design, build, and ship AI capabilities that power Bridge's platform. You will work with product, engineering, and capital teams to implement models, APIs, and tools that accelerate closings and improve servicing.

You will own integrations with frontier AI models, develop SDKs and documentation, and collaborate with underwriters, servicing, and capital markets to iterate on real-world feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a STEM field, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with large language models, generative AI, or agentic systems in research, production, or applied engineering.
• Familiarity with fintech, lending, or other regulated environments is a plus.
• Strong product sense and problem-solving ability.
• Track record of clean, maintainable, high-performance code.
• Clear communication with non-technical partners.
• Exposure to AI safety, evals, or red-teaming is preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, and API orchestration is preferred.
• Open-source AI or developer tool contributions are preferred.

Job description

As an AI Engineer, you will build and ship AI capabilities, models, APIs, tools, and integrations that power Bridge's platform. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and our in-house capital teams to make AI genuinely useful for the people doing the work: underwriters sizing a hotel construction loan, servicing managers running draws, and capital markets teams placing deals across our network of 100+ lenders.

You'll do it with a high bar for quality, transparency, and sound judgment, because real money and real businesses are on the other end. You'll measure success by what gets adopted and what it changes: faster closings, cleaner servicing, better decisions. This role is based in New York City.
