My client is an early stage but well backed company building advanced agent systems powered by LLMs. They focus on making AI agents that can perform real work reliably, safely, and repeatedly. This is a rare opportunity to join as a senior engineer on a small team where you will shape core architecture, ship production systems, and influence the direction of the product from day one.

They are looking for a product minded Senior AI Engineer who loves experimenting, instrumenting outcomes, and shipping features that improve task success rates in the real world. Most importantly, they want someone who is motivated by building experiences that truly wow people, the kind of systems that feel magical when they work.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Build and productionize end to end agent workflows including APIs, tools, evals, monitoring, and integration points with the broader platform
• Design cost, safety, and latency controls and build the dashboards and alerts that keep systems reliable
• Work closely with product and design to invent new interaction patterns and get them into users hands quickly
• Create evaluation harnesses, instrument outcomes, run A and B experiments, and iterate to improve task success
• Document best practices and mentor other engineers on building LLM powered features at scale

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in building agentic systems such as function calling, multi step planning, routing, memory, and retrieval
• Strong engineering instincts with the ability to wire up services, debug reliability issues, and optimize latency and cost
• Comfortable comparing models and hosts, exploring prompt strategies, and applying guardrail techniques
• Product oriented and motivated by measurable improvements to success rates, speed, and reliability
• Excited to build things that delight and impress users, creating interactions that feel new and exceptional
• Opinionated in a thoughtful way, with deep understanding of the AI landscape and the ability to make clear system and code level decisions
• Nice to have: experience with workflow engines such as Temporal and comfort across the stack
