Wilshire Law Firm in Los Angeles, CA is hiring an AI Engineer to build and maintain AI-powered tools and workflows that address practical business needs. You will evaluate emerging AI models and platforms and configure AI systems with safeguards to ensure responsible usage.

You will provide advanced technical support, train staff on AI fundamentals and new tools, and partner with teams to translate their needs into usable AI solutions while upholding privacy, security, and legal considerations.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience with a strong software engineering background.
• Proven ability to build projects/tools and explain problem, approach, and outcomes.
• Experience with AI tools/platforms such as Claude, GPT; Grok or similar is a plus.
• Experience with JavaScript and/or Python, including backend or full‑stack development, APIs, or platform integrations.
• Ability to assess, debug, and maintain software, including code built with AI assistance.
• Strong communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Sound enterprise judgment on privacy, security, and legal considerations.

Wilshire Law Firm is hiring an AI Engineer in Los Angeles, CA to build and maintain AI tools and support responsible rollout of new AI capabilities across the firm.

• Build and maintain AI-powered tools and workflows to address practical business needs
• Evaluate emerging AI models, platforms, and development tools; recommend where they can be applied
• Configure and manage AI platforms, including user roles, permissions, tool access, and safeguards
• Provide advanced technical support for AI tools and engineering-level issues beyond standard helpdesk
• Train and enable employees on AI fundamentals, plus newly introduced tools and workflows
• Partner across the firm to understand team needs and translate them into usable solutions
• Apply judgment for privacy, security, legal considerations, and responsible AI use in a legal environment
• Maintain existing solutions to keep them understandable, reliable, and useful over time
• Share reusable approaches and contribute to the broader technical community when appropriate

Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant experience, with a strong software engineering background
• Proven experience building projects or tools, professionally or independently, with the ability to explain the problem, approach, and outcomes
• Experience with AI tools and platforms such as Claude and GPT; familiarity with Grok or other AI platforms is a plus
• Experience with JavaScript and/or Python, including backend or full-stack development, APIs, or platform integrations
• Ability to assess, debug, and maintain software, including code built with AI assistance
• Strong communication skills, including translating technical concepts for audiences with different technical backgrounds
• Sound enterprise judgment, including awareness of access control, privacy, security, and legal considerations
• UX experience or a demonstrated interest in making tools intuitive and easy to use is a plus
• Open-source contributions are valued but not required
