Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC, based in Chicago, IL, is seeking a senior backend/platform engineer to lead LLM integration and orchestration across our data-intensive services.

You will design scalable, secure, cloud-native systems on AWS, implement CI/CD pipelines, and work with vector databases and retrieval techniques to deliver high-performance AI features.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with LLM integration, prompt/response mediation, or AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or LiteLLM.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Go, or Java).
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, pgvector, Vespa, etc.).
• Deep understanding of information retrieval techniques: dense retrieval, semantic search, and hybrid approaches.
• Proven experience building distributed, cloud-native systems on AWS, including CI/CD automation and containerization.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance principles for enterprise systems.
