Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Shift Operations Engineer to coordinate daily manufacturing activities, monitor line health, and resolve production issues in a fast-paced semiconductor environment. You will collaborate with equipment, process, planning, and support teams to ensure on-time output, while driving continuous improvement and applying AI-enabled tools under governance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Basic AI proficiency or willingness to complete Micron AI learning pathways and apply approved AI tools responsibly in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Operations Coordinate daily manufacturing activities to achieve output, cycle time, and quality objectives.
• Monitor line health and identify risks impacting delivery, WIP movement, and throughput.
• Partner with Manufacturing equipment and process teams, OI, SIC, planning, and other support Manufacturing teams to resolve production issues.
• Line Management Monitor production flow and bottlenecks using manufacturing systems and reporting tools.
• Support NPI, max-out, ramp readiness, and execution activities to enable smooth product introduction and output growth.
• Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, cycle time, and quality.
• Apply Micron-approved AI tools and AI-enabled ways of working to summarize data, identify trends, improve troubleshooting efficiency, support workflow simplification, and accelerate continuous improvement while following Micron’s AI governance, data protection, and responsible-use expectations.
