Job summary

Citadel Completions in Dallas, TX is seeking a Software Developer to design, build, test, and ship business applications, integrations, and automation for internal teams and external customers. You will work in a modern stack (.NET, C#, SQL Server) with AI-assisted development as a core part of the workflow.

The role emphasizes secure coding, code reviews, on-call participation, and collaboration with IT leadership and business stakeholders to deliver reliable software and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, and schema design.
• Experience integrating applications with third-party systems via APIs.
• Experience with Git and modern development workflows (sprints, code review, CI).
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) with validation before production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship business applications, integrations, and automation for internal teams and external customers.
• Use AI-assisted development tools as a core part of the daily workflow and stay current with advances.
• Apply rigorous review discipline to AI-generated code, including security and tests, and maintain coding standards.
• Build AI-enabled features and agent-assisted workflows to improve business outcomes.
• Monitor AI usage costs and share learnings with the team.
• Collaborate with business departments from concept to rollout and ongoing support.
• Maintain and modernize the existing application portfolio, address security findings, and update dependencies.
• Integrate applications with core platforms via APIs and data flows.
• Develop reporting and analytics with Power BI/Crystal Reports and data flows.
• Develop in the .NET/C#/SQL Server stack with Visual Studio, Git, and AI assistants.
• Ensure secure development practices (input validation, secrets management, auth, etc.).
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and peer code reviews.
• Take ownership of incidents; participate in on-call rotations; diagnose, fix, and communicate root causes.
