Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data scientist to design and deploy ML models, surface insights, and support decision-making through analytics platforms.

You will work with data engineers and product teams to implement scalable ETL pipelines and interactive dashboards using Dash/Power BI.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years Python/SQL, cloud analytics experience, and familiarity with generative AI and LLMs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years applying Python and SQL to data analysis and ML.
• Solid understanding of ML algorithms and model evaluation.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data.
• Master's degree (preferred).
• Experience with cloud analytics and model deployment (preferred).
• Exposure to Generative AI/LLMs and prompt engineering (desired).
• Familiarity with data tooling (PySpark, Airflow, BigQuery) (desired).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau/Dash) (desired).

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models for predictive, classification, and ensemble tasks.
• Build AI-powered workflows and integrate LLMs for insight generation and decision support.
• Design and maintain scalable ETL/data pipelines across multi-source datasets.
• Develop analytic dashboards delivering real-time KPI insights.
• Establish model evaluation frameworks aligned with business KPIs and data quality.
• Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and product owners to deliver analytics.
