Job summary

Amazon is building an SAP Production Planning architecture on S/4HANA to unify robotics planning and manufacturing. The role owns end-to-end PP design, MRP configuration, and MES integration to align engineering, planning, and manufacturing data flows.

The candidate will drive standard-core design, mentor analysts, and push automation and AI features on SAP BTP to shorten design-to-build cycles across discrete and repetitive manufacturing in Bellevue, WA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or internet industries.
• 10+ years of ERP implementation experience.
• 5+ years leading Production Planning domain in ERP implementations.
• Experience in discrete and repetitive manufacturing environments.
• Experience configuring SAP Production Planning on S/4HANA in a full lifecycle implementation.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture for SAP PP domain on S/4HANA, translating plan-to-produce requirements into scalable design.
• Own the MRP architecture: classic MRP and MRP Live, planning strategies, lot-sizing procedures, MRP areas, and consumption/forecast-based planning.
• Integrate PLM with SAP PP, managing BOMs, material masters, ECM, and document links with production master data and product revisions.
• Integrate SAP PP with MES for production order execution, confirmations, material consumption, goods movements, and real-time feedback.
• Build Business Process Designs for PP with stakeholders and technical teams to align on standard processes and trade-offs.
• Design plan-to-produce processes (demand management, S&OP, BOMs, routings, work centers, capacity) across manufacturing modes.
• Define manufacturing reporting needs (cost, variance, yield, capacity) to meet management and statutory reporting.
• Connect PP with MM, QM, WM/EWM, and FICO to ensure end-to-end data flow for procurement, quality, and costings.
• Lead standard-vs-custom decisions and set integration patterns for upgrade-safety and controls.
• Drive innovation with SAP Business AI/Joule and RAP-based accelerators to shorten design-to-build cycles.
• Create master data standards, governance, controls, and compliance in PP design from the start.
• Act as senior technical authority for PP through reviews, prototypes, and mentoring.
