Job summary

The QIS Platform team at Cognizant is seeking a versatile Platform Analyst in New York City. You will own analytics, monitoring, and automation across the QIS platform, working at the intersection of Python engineering, data, and AI in a front office adjacent setting.

The role emphasizes production-grade Python delivery, scalable data pipelines, and collaboration with quants, data scientists, and engineers to advance AI-driven platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong Python skills with production-grade delivery.
• Hands-on AI/ML production experience or advanced prototyping.
• Experience with modern data platforms, cloud, or distributed systems.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
• End-to-end ownership mindset across technical and business domains.
• Experience building monitoring, observability, or automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production-quality Python code for QIS platform analytics, controls, monitoring and workflow automation.
• Build scalable data pipelines and validation frameworks used in live environments.
• Apply software engineering discipline: testing, code review, documentation and maintainability.
• Contribute to AI/ML initiatives across the QIS platform, including anomaly detection and automation of control processes.
• Collaborate with quants, data scientists and engineers to industrialise AI concepts from prototype to production.
• Design and enhance automated checks, dashboards and observability frameworks.
• Lead investigations into data or production anomalies and drive cross-team resolution.
