Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. in Atlanta seeks an experienced Lead Quality Engineer to own end-to-end functional testing of core applications.

You will drive AI-enabled quality workflows and mentor peers in modern test automation and AI-assisted engineering, spanning manual, exploratory, and automated testing across the stack. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership without people management, shaping testing strategy, coverage, and release readiness with a strong focus on AI-driven practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in software quality engineering.
• Demonstrated depth with Playwright, extending beyond test authoring to suite architecture, flakiness mitigation, data strategy, and CI execution.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering tooling in testing workflows (AI coding agents, AI-assisted test authoring, or AI-supported analysis).
• Strong foundation in functional testing, risk-based prioritization, boundary and negative testing, and exploratory testing.
• Experience building a test automation framework from the ground up and articulating architectural decisions.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and ability to become productive quickly.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end functional test coverage for core applications (UI, services, integration).
• Lead AI-enabled quality workflow across requirements analysis, test authoring, automation, execution, and reporting.
• Mentor quality engineers in test design, automation architecture, and AI tooling usage.
• Contribute to QA automation framework development and adoption of automation standards.
• Triage and reproduce defects, drive resolution, and provide release readiness assessments.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and perform manual testing where needed.
