Job summary

Quest Software is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to drive AI-first quality engineering across a diverse portfolio of Identity Recovery products, including cloud-native SaaS on Azure and on-prem Windows apps.

You will own end-to-end quality, build automated testing capabilities in C#/.NET, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with engineers, product owners, and agile teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of Software Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Development within Agile product teams.
• Experience owning quality outcomes throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through release and post-release validation.
• Strong programming or scripting skills using C#, .NET, PowerShell, Python, TypeScript, or similar.
• Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and integrating quality validation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing and executing testing strategies across functional, API, integration, performance, reliability, and security testing.
• Experience testing cloud-native applications deployed on Microsoft Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
• Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools, coding agents, or agentic workflows to improve testing and engineering productivity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues across distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Champion AI-first quality engineering practices using AI-powered tools and agents.
• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks across API, integration, end-to-end, performance, security, and scalability layers.
• Define and execute risk-based testing strategies for cloud-native SaaS applications on Azure.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and architects to embed quality into design and release decisions.
• Create reusable AI-assisted testing workflows, prompts, and quality guardrails for consistent engineering practices.
• Validate enterprise software integrations with Microsoft technologies like 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, quality gates, test environments, observability, and defect prevention.
