Job summary

SoFi's Cyber Defense organization is seeking an Offensive Security Lead to mature and scale Penetration Testing and Red Team functions, blending hands-on work with leadership of the program. You will design AI-assisted tooling, define the roadmap, and drive improvements across testing, reporting, and risk translation.

This role requires deep expertise across networks, web and cloud environments, plus adversary emulation and proven leadership in regulated settings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in offensive security with hands-on pentesting and red team experience.
• 2+ years directly managing offensive security teams, ideally in regulated industries.
• Experience designing and implementing AI-led or AI-assisted offensive security programs.
• Deep fluency across network, web/mobile/cloud attack surfaces, and adversary emulation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and unify Penetration Testing and Red Team into a single Offensive Security function.
• Set and execute the offensive security roadmap aligned to risk, regulation, and product cadence.
• Build and scale AI-augmented offensive security capabilities and tooling.
• Lead engagements across network, application, cloud, and AI pentests when needed.
• Hire, mentor, and develop a mixed team of testers and operators.
