Job summary

Obsidian is seeking a Coding Manager to lead the evaluation of AI-powered coding solutions in healthcare. This role requires overseeing coding operations, ensuring compliance, and conducting quality audits. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of coding experience, with specific knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS.

You will collaborate with teams to directly impact AI tools that enhance coding accuracy and compliance across healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in medical coding.
• At least 2 years in a coding manager or HIM leadership role.
• Expert knowledge of coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee professional fee and inpatient coding operations.
• Evaluate AI-generated coding assignments for accuracy.
• Conduct coding quality audits and provide feedback.
• Monitor coding KPIs including productivity and accuracy.
• Manage workflow queues and turnaround time compliance.
