Job summary

Dev Technology Group in Reston, VA seeks an IT Solutions Engineer focused on AI, automation, and cloud to reinvent internal IT with practical automations and secure, maintainable solutions. You’ll work across Microsoft 365 and AWS, delivering tools used by employees and reducing manual effort.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, endpoint management, identity, and modern IT operations, plus a mindset for rapid learning and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience building automations, workflows, scripts, integrations, internal tools, or low-code solutions.
• Ability to move between Microsoft/Azure and AWS environments and support production workloads responsibly.
• Turn ambiguous requests into clear specifications, working prototypes, tested solutions and practical documentation.
• Responsible use of AI-assisted tools for research, development, troubleshooting, documentation and learning.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation and user empathy.

Responsibilities

• Build useful internal tools, automations, workflows, scripts, and lightweight applications.
• Use spec-driven development to clarify problems and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, solution design, and iteration.
• Improve and extend Microsoft 365 environment (Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Power Platform, Copilot).
• Work across Microsoft/Azure and AWS environments, including production systems and APIs.
• Partner with business users to understand pain points and deliver adopted solutions.
• Help keep IT operations secure, reliable, documented, and compliant with standards such as CMMC, ISO 27001, and ISO 20000.
