Hydrite Chemical Co. is seeking a Junior IT Application Developer to build and maintain internal applications using AI tools like Copilot Studio and Snowflake CoCo.

Based in Brookfield, WI, you will collaborate with analysts and end users to turn requirements into reliable software, while learning and adopting new AI-assisted development techniques. You will contribute to feature development, defect resolution, and documentation, with a focus on quality, security, and scalable solutions within

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years of hands‑on development experience; internships, co‑ops, and entry-level roles count.
• Openness to AI coding tools and a willingness to learn prompt‑driven development while owning the quality of the result.
• Very good technical learning ability, with the capacity to pick up new tools and concepts quickly.
• Proven problem‑solving skills, including the ability to break problems down and test proposed solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas clearly and write concise updates.
• Conscientious work style with high attention to detail and consistent follow‑through on commitments.
• Curiosity, persistence, and a positive, team‑first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal applications, building features and enhancements.
• Diagnose and fix defects, verifying resolution with the requestor.
• Write clean, simple code and unit tests with guidance from senior developers.
• Participate in code reviews, both as author and reviewer.
• Support users and business partners by understanding requests and clarifying requirements.
• Document work for maintenance and handoff; maintain change records and configurations.
• Apply AI development tools to accelerate delivery and build AI-assisted applications.
