Job summary

Jobtailor in North Carolina is seeking an experienced product/forecasting leader to own the demand forecasting backlog and translate planners’ daily needs into clear requirements. You will work with customers and internal teams to improve forecasting accuracy and build trust in the forecasting logic.

You will define backlog priorities, collaborate with UI/UX, support GTM readiness, and measure impact after launch.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years hands-on experience in demand forecasting, planning, and new product introduction/lifecycle.
• Experience using commercial demand forecasting/planning software day-to-day (not just Excel).
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to explore data to inform decisions.
• Excellent communication skills; can explain complex ideas simply.

Responsibilities

• Develop product strategy and refine backlog priorities.
• Surface forecast exceptions and build trust in the forecasting logic.
• Translate demand planners' day-to-day work into clear requirements.
• Own stories, acceptance criteria and agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders and UI/UX to improve workflows.
• Support go-to-market readiness with demos and positioning.
• Monitor adoption and measure improvements in accuracy and time savings.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate repetitive tasks while judging when human input is needed.
