Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, automation engineering, or a related technical role.
• Demonstrated experience building AI-powered automations or agentic workflows, including working with LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI).
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, with experience building web applications, APIs, and internal tools.
• Demonstrated experience with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor).
• Proficiency with Git and modern version control practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, and securing service accounts, API keys, and secrets.
• Preferred: GIS experience (ArcGIS Pro, ArcPy, PostGIS).
• Preferred: Prior experience in energy development, ideally renewable energy.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate AI-powered automations and agent-based workflows across multiple systems.
• Develop internal tools and applications using Python and JavaScript.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to rapidly prototype and deliver production-quality software.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate needs into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain integrations using APIs, webhooks, and MCP connectors.
• Develop GIS-enabled applications and spatial data pipelines for energy projects.
• Maintain clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Help define policies for responsible AI use and data governance.
• Deploy and manage applications in Azure, including security and cost monitoring.
