Job summary

The Enterprise Data Architect for Commonwealth of PA defines and evolves the enterprise information architecture and reusable data products to support transformation and AI priorities. The role partners with business leaders, product and engineering teams and enterprise technology to decide which information assets should be shared across agencies and which remain domain-specific.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in data architecture, information architecture or enterprise architecture.
• 8+ years hands-on data architecture, data engineering, or advanced database design; modeling for data warehouses/data marts; MDM concepts.
• 5+ years with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, MongoDB and cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with data security, privacy and regulatory requirements for sensitive data.
• Proven ability to lead modernization initiatives across multiple domains and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define conceptual and logical data models for common business entities.
• Establish canonical models and enterprise information standards.
• Design enterprise information architecture that accounts for privacy, security, and regulatory requirements by design.
• Partner with workflow modernization teams to embed reusable data products into designs.
• Analyze legacy systems and identify information assets suitable for enterprise reuse.
• Promote API-first and product-based approaches to information sharing.
