Job summary

Nymbus, a remote-first fintech, is seeking a Data Migration Analyst to manage end-to-end data migration projects for banks and credit unions implementing the Nymbus Core platform. You will analyze source data, map and transform it, and validate conversions to ensure go-live readiness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in financial services with data conversion or migration.
• Proficiency in SQL and ability to map, transform, reconcile, or validate data.
• Familiarity with additional programming or scripting languages.
• Experience interpreting technical specifications and source-data structures, transformation rules, and business requirements.
• Understanding banking data and operations including deposits, loans, and general ledger.
• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, reporting, exception analysis, or QA processes.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and building tools to improve workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including explaining data concepts to clients.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Self-directed and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data requirements for migrating source data into the Nymbus Core platform.
• Analyze and map data across banking functions including deposits, loans, demographics, and general ledger data.
• Use SQL and programming to map source data, define transformation logic, and support conversion programming.
• Verify conversion output against source data, specs, and transformation rules.
• Test and validate converted data using reporting tools, reconciliation processes, QA checks, and exception analysis.
• Identify data quality issues, transformation errors, and anomalies affecting accuracy.
• Lead client discussions on data structures, mapping decisions, conversion results, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with client teams and internal delivery consultants to implement Nymbus software and services.
• Support multiple concurrent conversion engagements by coordinating priorities and deliverables.
• Design, build, and improve AI-assisted tools and automations to accelerate data migration and reduce manual effort.
• Explore opportunities to automate field-mapping recommendations across donor core systems.
• Develop tools to identify data anomalies during transformation and streamline validation processes.
• Document conversion patterns, source-system knowledge, data-mapping standards, and reusable frameworks.
• Contribute to a shared knowledge base to improve consistency and resilience across conversions.
• Recommend improvements to data migration processes, tools, and quality controls.
