Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Data Designer to craft data-driven, AI-enabled product experiences for cold chain logistics. You will transform telemetry, analytics, and ML outputs into clear, trusted user interfaces and dashboards for real-time ops and retrospective analysis.

The role collaborates with product managers, data engineers, data scientists, and UX researchers to shape AI-assisted workflows and ensure explainability in high-stakes environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, HCI, UX/UI, Data Visualization, CS, or Data Science.
• 5+ years of experience designing data visualization, dashboards, analytics, or complex workflows.
• Experience with tools like Figma, Tableau, D3.js, or Adobe Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Lead user interviews, surveys, usability studies, concept tests and rapid experiments for AI/data products.
• Identify opportunities where AI/ML/automation reduces cognitive load and improves decisions.
• Design dashboards, monitoring views, alerts, and AI-assisted workflows for real-time ops.
• Define visual hierarchy, thresholds, and status semantics for readable signals.
• Build prototypes, wireframes, mocks to test AI feature assumptions and data storytelling.
• Translate complex telemetry and model outputs into clear narratives for business users.
• Collaborate with data engineers, AI scientists, PMs, and UX researchers to align needs and feasibility.
• Design with auditability, explainability, and GDP/GxP-regulated environments in mind.
