Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Business & Data Analyst to join the Intuitive Operations and Automation (IOA) practice. You will analyze business processes, leverage AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT), and generate actionable insights using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and other analytics tools.

The role emphasizes delivering executive-ready recommendations and collaborating with clients and stakeholders. Location: Cognizant offices or client locations in Chicago, IL or Teaneck, NJ with possible

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field
• Familiarity with Excel; Power BI or SQL is a plus
• Nice-to-have: Python, Copilot Studio, or automation tools
• Hands-on AI tools experience (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, Gemini)
• Ability to understand business needs and assess impacts on operations
• Strong written and verbal communication; teamwork and leadership
• Interest in technology and digital modernization
• Self-motivated and eager to learn

Responsibilities

• Analyze business processes, requirements, and data to identify improvements
• Use AI tools daily to speed research, analysis, and documentation
• Perform data analysis with Excel, Power BI, SQL to generate insights
• Build and refine prompts to improve AI-assisted work quality
• Support design and adoption of Agentic AI solutions by documenting requirements
• Prepare executive-ready presentations, reports, and process maps
• Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn new AI tools and trends
