Job summary

Corteva Agriscience is seeking an innovative Data Scientist to advance AI-driven discovery in microbial and natural products for crop health. The role emphasizes integrating genomic, metabolomic, and phenotypic data with cutting-edge ML/DL methods.

The successful candidate will collaborate with scientists across biology, chemistry, and data engineering to deliver impactful predictive models and scalable solutions from discovery through production. Indianapolis HQ preferred.

Qualifications

• MS with 5+ years in quantitative fields or life/physical sciences.
• Strong biology understanding to interpret model outputs biologically.
• Hands-on experience with modern ML/DL methods and AI stack (PyTorch, transformers).
• Ability to frame research problems, define success criteria, and communicate results clearly.
• Strong Python programming for data wrangling, analysis, and ML.

Responsibilities

• Innovate at the interface of data science, chemistry, and biology to drive discovery of microbial and natural products for crop health.
• Develop predictive models integrating genomic, metabolomic, and phenotypic data to prioritize candidates.
• Build models connecting insights across discovery pipelines to identify cross-pipeline opportunities.
• Evaluate and implement modern AI/ML methods to advance predictive modeling capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-domain teams to drive integrated discovery pipelines and candidate advancement.
