Job summary

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full-stack engineering with backend systems and APIs.
  • Experience building integrations that improve remote work.
  • Extensive API experience with feedback on designs.
  • Strong understanding of the full web stack.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/SE or related field.
  • Experience with cloud services, security, scalability.
  • Ability to collaborate with Product, UX, and other teams.
  • Strong problem-solving for developer-friendly products.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and cross-functional partners to shape and execute the strategic roadmap for Box’s Developer Platform, spanning APIs, developer tools, SDKs, applications, analytics, and enterprise platform capabilities.
  • Build and evolve the Developer Platform: design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable platform capabilities for developers and SaaS providers to build, integrate, and innovate on Box.
  • Improve developer experience: sandboxes, onboarding, testing environments, and self-service tools to reduce friction for internal and external developers.
  • Drive innovation from concept to launch: prototype new capabilities and deliver high-impact features from concept through production.
  • Partner across the organization: work with Product, Design, UX, Developer Relations, Support, and other teams to align technical execution with business goals.
  • Build enterprise platform experiences: self-service app hubs, admin experiences, and entitlement visibility tools for enterprise customers.
  • Leverage data to improve the platform: work with big data to generate insights and drive platform efficiency.
  • Ensure operational excellence: participate in on-call rotation and monitor performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Provide strong technical leadership: influence architecture, design, and implementation decisions across the platform.
