Job summary

LRN is seeking a Software Test Engineer Specialist in Mumbai to design and execute robust test strategies and automation. You will drive quality initiatives, implement AI-driven testing approaches, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product reliability before release.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a software field plus 5–6 years in software testing
At least 5+ years in automation testing
Hands-on Selenium automation experience
Strong functional and automated testing expertise with test strategy and planning
SQL knowledge and relational DB proficiency
QA processes and documentation experience (checklists, test plans)
Proficiency with Selenium and Postman
Programming knowledge in Java, Python, Perl or Typescript
Experience with MCP/Agentic AI frameworks or tools (Playwright, AI-driven test generation)
Ability to integrate AI models into QA workflows to improve coverage and speed
LMS knowledge and e-learning domain exposure is a plus

Responsibilities

Design and implement comprehensive test strategies and procedures
Test software and system changes scheduled for release
Participate in requirements and specification walkthroughs
Drive long-term quality initiatives and tool adoption
Own functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and AI-driven testing
Lead automation framework improvements and autonomous test generation
Monitor defect reporting, debugging, and closure during testing
Collaborate with project teams to align with business goals
Escalate risks and communicate impacts to leads
Utilize AI frameworks to generate test scenarios and accelerate coverage
