Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an experienced Application Security Engineer to join a new team building a next-generation casino management platform. You will blend application security with platform engineering, DevSecOps, and AI-assisted development to embed security into modern workflows and enable scalable software delivery.

Key focus areas include threat modeling, security gates, and integrating security tooling into AI pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in applying security to CI/CD workflows and software delivery.
• Proficiency in threat modeling and secure coding practices within modern development environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with platform, data, and application engineering teams to build a casino management platform.
• Integrate security into AI-assisted software development workflows.
• Work within GitHub for code reviews, PR approvals, and security validation.
• Perform hands-on threat modeling with practical approaches beyond traditional frameworks.
• Automate and enhance security scanning and vulnerability detection.
• Implement and refine risk-based security gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in sprint stand-ups, architecture/design discussions, and security reviews.
