Job summary

Talanto in San Francisco is hiring for a Finance Analytics and BI teammate to build the data foundation that turns accounting data into reliable insights. You will own models, orchestration, and dashboards that finance teams rely on for close, reporting, and automation.

You will work across Data Engineering, Data Science, and Finance to deliver scalable, self-serve analytics and guide AI-driven improvements in accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for analytics and automation.
• Experience with data modeling and orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Hex, Streamlit).
• Ability to translate business questions into metrics and insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data models and orchestration pipelines powering analytics and financial workflows.
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, and data applications for self-serve access.
• Translate business questions into metrics and tools, delivering clear recommendations.
• Support financial reporting, the close process, reconciliations, and scenario analysis.
• Define AI-powered accounting automation initiatives and streamline workflows.
• Champion data quality, testing, and documentation across the data stack.
