Cognizant is seeking an AI Developer to design and deliver AI/ML and Generative AI solutions that address complex business challenges. You will build LLM-powered applications, RAG systems, and document intelligence capabilities, collaborating with business stakeholders and engineers to deploy production-ready AI.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML engineering, application development, or related technology disciplines.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong experience with Generative AI technologies, Large Language Models (LLMs), and modern AI development frameworks.
• Experience building RAG solutions, AI agents, conversational AI applications, and intelligent automation platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML development libraries and frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI services with APIs, databases, enterprise applications, and cloud-based platforms.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts, model evaluation, prompt engineering, and AI application lifecycle management.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

About the role

As an AI Developer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering intelligent solutions that help organizations leverage Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI to solve complex business challenges. You will be a valued member of the AI & Analytics team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and application development teams to build scalable AI-powered applications that drive innovation, automation, and business value.

In this role, you will:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience building document intelligence, intelligent search, and enterprise knowledge management solutions.
• Familiarity with MLOps, LLMOps, AI observability, and model monitoring practices.
• Understanding of Responsible AI, AI governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000- $155,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
