Job summary

Tenarai - LATAM is seeking an experienced AI Database Engineer to drive database modernization and cloud migration initiatives in the US market. You will design and implement scalable data pipelines, optimize ETL frameworks, and define robust metadata structures to support AI-enabled automation.

Proficiency in SQL, SSMS, SSIS, Python, and Java is essential. The role involves leveraging AWS Glue and Snowflake alongside Claude AI to automate workflows and ensure data integrity through migration

Qualifications

• Experience migrating legacy databases and ETL pipelines to AWS.
• Strong SQL skills with SSMS and SSIS expertise.
• Hands-on Python and/or Java development for data workflows.
• Knowledge of metadata management and telemetry.
• Experience with AWS Glue and Snowflake data services.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in database modernization, cloud migration, ETL development, and AI-powered automation, with expertise in AWS technologies and Claude AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy databases and ETL pipelines to cloud-native AWS environments.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL frameworks.
• Analyze source metadata and define corresponding destination metadata structures.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL stored procedures.
• Leverage Claude AI to develop agent skills and automate database-related workflows.
• Work with AWS Glue and other AWS services to support data integration and transformation.
• Ensure data integrity, performance, and consistency throughout migration processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience migrating legacy databases and ETL pipelines to AWS.
• Strong expertise in SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Hands-on experience developing and optimizing SQL stored procedures.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Java.
• Solid understanding of metadata management, entity definitions, and process telemetry.
• Experience with AWS Glue and other AWS data services.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake.
• Ability to analyze complex data structures and design efficient cloud-based solutions.
