Job summary

KPF is seeking a Data & Systems Developer Intern to join our technology team for a summer or semester engagement in New York. You will write real code, build data pipelines, consume APIs, and create lightweight internal tools alongside our AI Systems Engineer.

This is a hands-on internship where you’ll work with SQL, Python, Flask or FastAPI, and cloud basics on AWS, with opportunities to contribute to production data workflows and AI pipelines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Basic to intermediate Python and SQL skills with ability to write scripts and small programs.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and Git for collaboration on a shared codebase.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Develop lightweight Python scripts and API integrations.
• Contribute to internal web apps and dashboards using Flask or FastAPI.
• Work with AWS services and containerization (Docker) basics.
